[UK-CONTEST] Reports in 80M Club contest

I know what you mean Pete. My not-quite-so old grey cells didn't even
remind me that it was scheduled for last night!
There was a similar debate recently on the CQ Contest Reflector I
recall, involving a leading station in a major contest. The discussion
got so involved I lost interest but I think the person in question
eventually withdrew his entry.
There certainly is a move amongst many contesters to could cut down on
perceived "time-wasting." Seems to me we all have our likes and
dislikes. I really do hate speeded up parts of messages but on the other
hand I regularly leave out leading zeros in CW and SSB events.
Then there's cut numbers! Is ENN ok whilst nothing is not? I have an
ambition to operate CQWW CW from Zone 9 so I can send ENNN !!
Is U ok for 2 and D ok for 4. What about a leading SO station in CQWW CW
sending 3J for 31.
A whole new can of worms!
