Pye/Simoco have not owned any masts for many years. They sold out to NTL about 15 years when it was still Philips Telecom. I believe NTL later divested their sites business.

Who at the RSGB is dealing with this, and do you know what costs are

I believe its on a Pye / Simoco owned mast, is this correct ?

A further nail in the coffin of VHF contesting / activity is the
intention of the RSGB to withdraw funding for GB3VHF. The beacon will be
shut down by the end
of December, This beacon has been in operation for over 40 years and is
known throughout Europe.
All for the price of a few tickets to Dayton
