Sorry for the late comments but I've been away for a couple of days.

"Waste of a day"?   Well I suppose it depends on what else you had 
planned.   As it was a miserable day weatherwise on the South Coast the 
garden had to wait, and a break from paperwork was called for.

Did I work everyone I heard?   Well no, but I was aware of a couple of 
stations under the noise answering my CQs.   Like a few other stations I 
started off with Andy ZC4VJ but Fred K3ZO couldn't hear me.   LU3 was no 
problem and EA8BIE was a cracking signal each time I heard him.

Full marks to Peter G3LET for perserverence.   You were audible with me 
for most of the contest Peter or at least until I packed in around 1600Z.
