[UK-CONTEST] YODX Contest

I have just received an email from yo3gsm at gmail.com in respect of a contact
I had with YO3KPA during the recent YODX contest.
The details of the contact supplied check out with my log & I am being asked
to send in a contest/check log as they say that both logs have to be
received for the QSO to be validated.
In addition they are offering to convert my log into the correct format if
required & forward it to the Organisers.
The mailing addresses supplied check out.
I am just rather surprised at the suggestion that both logs need to be
submitted for points to count or is this just a way of increasing perceived
participation.
Has anyone else received such an email & if so what action did they take.
