[UK-CONTEST] EU Sprint

A brief report on the EU Sprint -- not a good weekend for me because of
Easter family commitments. This also caused some breaks in operating
totalling around 60 minutes during the four hours, but I managed 114 QSOs,
not too bad.

20m was terrible, and most people seemed to migrate to 40m pretty early on
(after less than an hour for most). 40m seemed good, and 80m even better,
although way out west and north, in the UK, it's hardly dark before the
contest ends, so 80m is hard work until the last 45 minutes or so. The
October event is better for us in that regard.

The main problem is lack of activity, not helped by at least 3 concurrent
events. Very few Gs (perhaps even less than usual) were in evidence --
about half a dozen in my log. This really is one of the more interesting
contests, and deserves better support -- it's also short.

Some strange names appeared as ever, even among the Anglo-Saxon
contingent -- JUT, for example (Hello Justin!), all of which kept us on our
toes. And PAOLO threw me at first (BUO, in memoriam). Anyway, I had fun,
but wonder if I'll ever learn the tactics needed to do well!
