I would like to add my personal pennyworth to this as an organiser of a
contest team.

Firstly more contests for 4 metres in the E's season would be welcome and
the PW Low Power contest on 13th June is a welcome addition to the
calendar.

However I do not want these to run concurrently with 6 metres for the
following reasons

We do not have a large contingent of members to assemble and operate the
stations. For VHF Field Day we can muster enough people to set up 2 or 3
stations. Our problem is finding enough capable and keen operators to man
them and are able, normally to be able to guarantee 2 stations over the
weekend. Our choice comes down to 2 metres for 24 hours plus 4 metres and 6
metres on alternate days. If the 4 and 6 were moved together we would loose
one station due to lack of operators rather than shortage of equipment.

The PW 4 metre contest is on the Saturday and their 144 MHz contest is on
the Sunday which suits us fine as we only set up one station with a change
of antennas overnight and we will have enough good operators to give us a
fighting chance of having some success.

I am also conscious that a lot of support comes from solo fixed stations
who come on to give away points and get themselves some good squares or DX
and I suspect that we would split this support between the two bands rather
than get it for both as these people tend to have limited operating time or
resources.

Regards
