Why not leave the format the same, but present the results in different 
league tables?  You could have the club format as now, plus an 
individual category plus a teams of 4 category plus a CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK 
only category.  Individual operators, small clubs or single mode 
operators could compete against one another at different levels.  If you 
don't agree with the mega club format, ignore those results and 
concentrate on improving your performance in whatever category best 
suits you.  This could also introduce a bit of competition within a club 
to see how well you are doing against your other club members.

PS.  I am not offering to write the software, but it should just be a 
tweak of presentation, no extra adjudication required.
