For those wondering, Class One medicals that commercial pilots have require the level of audio sensitivity to be within quantified limits and the test is rather more scientific than that described for the the class two medical described by Ken.
The comment made to someone that the medium wave BC receiver was all they needed to buy rather than a band 2 suggests its interest is in the same as our own.
