Ken,

Don't forget to include the KXV3 patch panel option in your
original purchase if you want to have the most flexible use
of your K3 with a separate RX Ant. Without the KXV3 you
can't use a separate RX Ant on the Main RX. This is the only
'mistake' that I made when buying my K3. Apart, of course,
from buying it at the very moment that the GBP was at its
lowest level for ages against the US$! I've since purchased
the KXV3 patch panel.

Thanks everyone for coming to my rescue.
I think I now have a fairly good idea on what I need for my
style of operating which is 99% cw 1% ssb.
I was hoping to have a k3 to evaluate on Cyprus when I
operated C4i last weekend but it didn't happen. It would
have been good to compare it against C4i"s FT2000 radio"s.
(I have an ft2000D so know how to drive it) Using 2 FT2000"s
we had 7,399 qso"s and 16.3m points.
Great fun in the winters sun!!
