I did 6 years in a blue uniform, albeit on a voluntary basis, and yes, 
we would have been stuffed too!

I have found the legislation now, and it clearly states any device with 
the exception of a 2 way radio, and even gives specific frequency bands 
that the prohibited equipment falls within.
