I get to Chester in the distance you reach Germany but meanwhile you've already covered the main UK activity populous across the south of England to Bristol, all the midlands and north of Leeds and Manchester.
You and Bob's perspective is often found because you do not appreciate the distances and terrain that other UK VHF+ operators have to contend with from such remote distances from UK and EU radio populous locations. What is not relevant to you (DXC/KST) is very relevant in other parts of the UK and it would be great if you could take that into account in future.
