The results for the January 80m CC Datamodes and SSB contests have been
posted to www.rsgbhfcc.org
The SSB results were delayed due to issues concerning some scores which
appeared inconsisent with the power level, location or station
capabilities declared in the Cabrillo header.
Entrants are reminded that the highest power level permitted in the 80m
CC events is 100 watts, but also that some licence classes are
restricted to lower power levels which must, of course, be observed.
These contests have to be largely self-policing, and club officials are
asked to ensure that some of their more enthusiastic members are not
tempted to 'turn the wick up' if conditions seem difficult.
Entrants are also reminded that the rules require them to be RSGB
members. The Contests Committee has noted that some regulars do not
appear to be RSGB members, and checks will be made as the year proceeds.
On a positive note, the new Robot used for the 80m CC contests starting
in February has been well received and has brought benefits for the
checking process.
Thank you for your cooperation.
