I have to apologise to all those who were receipients of what was apparently 
a dreadful signal and undecodeable.  I started off OK with around 5 QSOs and 
after that something went very wrong and I was sending rubbish.  I know that 
several stations could hear me and I am sorry that I wasted their time.  The 
problem is that I just didn't know as everything still looked OK.  I could 
decode incoming signals perfectly well, the scope display looked OK on 
transmission and the outgoing tones sounded OK on the LS output of the sound 
card.  Some deep head scratching obvious;y needed.
