Having  started the recent discussion about the sending of meaningless 
5NN reports I decided to see what would happen if I didn't send a 
report. Only ONE station queried RST ? (and for his impertinence didn't 
get 5NN). I suspect that most people using computer logging have already 
moved to the serial number field without waiting to hear their report.

I was surprised that running 100W (as per the rules!) several stations 
who were good signals here couldn't hear me, perhaps they weren't in the 
contest. I began to wonder about my 80/40 inverted V trap dipole but 
today having worked K5D on 80 & 40 there can't be too much wrong with it 
(apart from being too low & not running in a straight line).
