And I remember them well when setting up a 'built on a toilet roll' 
ATU. 10W from my Top Band rig if I was lucky. Tune for maximum smoke 
from your own finger, ouch...

Not to forget my landlord who was in the bedroom above the shack and 
who liked to listen to the BBC Welsh service. Seeing my longwire 
outside his window he decided to see if that gave him better results. 
He didn't repeat the experiment after he touched it while I was 
transmitting....

(but no scars to remind me here. And decidedly OT...).
