[UK-CONTEST] Speed changes in AFS

I think the issue of speed matching is interesting.

IMHO.

Someone calling CQ at 18 wpm should reasonably expect those calling to
roughly speed match.

Someone replying at 18 wpm to another running at 35 wpm, should NOT
reasonably expect him to do so. Expect him to believe the caller can
read at his sending speed. Why else would he have called?

It is unreasonable to expect an operator to slow down because you have
asked for a repeat. If you ask for a repeat, expect a repeat. He will
assume QRM to be the problem. If you need him to QRS ask him to QRS.
Unsolicited speed changes in heavy QRM can cause station identification
problems.

If a station is making futile repetitive CQ calls at 35 wpm and your
limit is18 wpm then answer by all means but be sure to ask him to QRS.
