Why shouldn't the RSGB support the Icom contest? DSTAR
is a new exciting amateur radio mode, and Icom is a leading
manufacturer of amateur radio equipment. It all helps to
increase activity on the 144, 430 and 1200 MHz bands - "use
them or lose them".
Good to see, too, that 59(9) will be an integral part of
the exchange - there are some traditions that are worth
preserving, even in this digital age.
It seems to me that amateurs and contesters who cannot
adjust to new modes and concepts are flat-earthers who
might be better out of the hobby.
