[UK-CONTEST] DSTAR Contest

Can you call cq contest as a fixed station?
Can you call cq contest through a repeater?
Will this give the repeater keeper and advantage, as he can hog the 
repeater.
Can you work split as I was thinking about the pile up on GB3ML?
