Yes,  my day would have been pretty much like yours (with maybe some less interesting activities!)  but the Fixed sweepers section totally changed what I did.

Instead, I came on the radio at 1400 and _stayed_ there till 2000, had some food (quickly) went back on for a bit.  Next morning on for another hour and a half until I absolutely absolutely had to leave or else I would be late for my part time job.  (I cut it fine though).

See the difference?  If I'd not done it intending to enter I  would have just been cherry picking  the furthest I could hear and when the Es came - that would have been it.  Who's bothered about struggling to work IO92 when you've just had the whole of Iberia!

So as far as the portables I worked are concerned the sweepers section did exactly what Pete CLA had intended!
