The sunspot number for July 12, 2009 was zero. Previous days were
zero, 13, 15, 18 and 21, in reverse chronological order.
Steve G3VMW had a ball on 10m the day with "18" when he came over to help
setup the GB7HQ 10m antennas it went downhill from there..reaching rock
bottom when it should have been at its best. Despite the gloom we did have a
brief opening to USA at 23z on Saturday evening..CW QSO's down abt 10% on
last year but an increased mult score and pts/qso this made up the
difference. It was our the third best score on 10m CW in the 7-years we have
done GB5HQ/GB7HQ so although not good not quite diabolical..it did require a
bit more than QRP to wires though..
