Hi Iain,
I would rule out HRD as a contest logger (although excellent as
general logger and for remote control)
Wintest costs, the others are free.
If you want networked PCs and integrated cluster then that would rule
out SD, leaving N1MM and Wintest. However, if you don't need these
facilities, then SD is an excellent contest logger. It is easy to
understand and intuitive to use, especially if you are coming in
fresh and do not have a strong influence of any previously used
loggers. If you are going to do a lot of contesting in the future,
with networking and cluster access, then it might be worth starting
up the learning curve of N1MM or Wintest as they definitely have more
growth potential.
I suggest you compare the manuals to assess how easy it would be to
understand, set up and use each one..
