Good morning from a sunny and calm Summer Isles.
>From here I can see out to the outer Hebrides and south to the Torridan
hills and all points in between, fantastic. Dry at the moment with huge
patches of blue sky.
Moved the tent to slightly higher and dryer ground so should be more
comfortable operating. All the antennas are in place and checked with the
MFJ, it's amazing how much the 80/40m dipole droops between the 10m
supports, centre is only about 6m above the ground.
I usually make a shelter for the wee Honda generator with an old shower
curtain and canes which works well under normal circumstances but will head
off down the hill in search of other plastic sheeting to be on the safe
side.
Good luck to everyone and enjoy the contest. Please remember to submit your
log even if you have only made a few Qs from home as it helps to make the
adjudication process better. Hopefully this year we will break the 2000
logs barrier.
