[UK-CONTEST] BERU-HQ stations

An interesting prospect Chris;

If such a change were made (that GM, GW etc were different countries for
BERU); I am speculating that UK is the most active area anyway for BERU; so
the event would change - would it be that the leaders would then come from
a UK based country (probably not G, since G couldn't work G); ie GI, GM or
GW ? Or GD or Channel island, should someone be motivated to make an effort
from there !

I've no problem with rule changes ; and wished the contest would adopt the
Commonwealth works all format that was tried in the Jubilee contest !

Hello Clive (et al)

Over the years the separate DXCC entities which make up the UK have
periodically requested that GM, GW, GJ etc. all count as separate bonuses in
BERU. Personally I can see no reason why this cannot be the case - I don't
believe it would alter the 'nature of the contest' in any way except to
potentially increase the activity - but it might alter the results table.

It hardly seems fair or logical that e.g. VE is one DXCC entity, yet is
allowed potentially 7 or more HQ stations, whereas the UK consists of 7 DX
entities, with only 1 HQ station.

Perhaps the time has come to update/clarify the rules - the team contest has
been a very positive change, so why not the redefinition of the UK as more
than a single Commonwealth Call area ?
