Hi Fred

And congratas gain for gaining a soulmate and XYL.

Your WPX is in May ;) SSB is this weekend.

Re 40m BC - yes 40m was hard going in ARRL SSB when I remember when Petr and
myself found really good clean spot abou 7256 and we listenened there
As well as checking our TX QRG. Good run and suddenly spot on 4:00UTC some
Indian funky music with strong Mid European influence ruined pile up.
It made us laugh actually as carrier was accuate and zero beat caused that
when moderator anounced sstation name and said something else before
starting music, I was trying to explain him that I can hear him but don't
speak his language.....

Can't wait for both 40 and 6m to be BC free.... I lived 3m away from 250kW
TV 6m BC. Good fun.

Steve, and the other poster who queried why they would QSY this coming
weekend and not on 1 April

> However what are the odds that the BC stations will QSY immediately ?

If my memory serves me correctly this all hinges around the change in
broadcasting schedules that takes place this coming weekend co-inciding with
summer time starting. The date was known as soon as the frequency changes
were agreed some years back as the broadcast schedules change on the same
weekend every year, and frequencies are published far in advance.

Lets hope so anyway

I thought WPX was in May anyway?
