I'm sure if Ofcom get enough complaints then they will find it easier to
tackle the problem at source rather than trying to fix it on a case by
case basis. If these devices don't meet the standards, then I hope that
BT get penalised for each case, which should also make them think twice
before installing these devices. Unfortunately we live in a world
driven by bean counters. You only have to look at the economy to see
that short-sighted profit making is in nobody's interest.
Under the freedom of information act, is it possible to get a list of
where these devices have been installed in your neighbourhood? If the
government want to make their HIPS package for housebuyers useful, it
should also include an EMC spectrum plot.
