Unfortunately it is not as easy as that. Clearly BT know the names and 
addresses of its customers who have subscribed to the BT Vision 
product. Whether they are in a position to release that under the FOI 
acts I don't know, but I imagine the Data Protection act will prohibit 
them anyway...

Although BT might be able to tell us to whom BT Vision packages 
including powerline adaptors have been sent, they do not know how many 
have actually been connected up and are being used. It is not necessary 
to use them for instance when the hub/router is conveniently near the 
BT Vision set top box, or CAT5 ethernet cabling or wireless may have 
been used regardless. There may be many many thousands of the beasts 
just sitting in cardboard boxes in a cupboard (just like I have a BT 
Hub sitting in its cardboard box unused). Literally nobody knows the 
real location of the active ones.
