Hang on chaps....

If the chap does not send EU005 then you should NOT enter it. He may 
well not be on mainland UK but one of the islands eg Isle of Wight. And 
of course if it is a GM the options are far wider. Sure, ask him at the 
time of the QSO what his IOTA is (EU005?) but if he refuses to send it 
then leave it blank. Neither he nor you deserve to claim the extra 
points on that QSO - but would expect to get the normal non-island 
points for the QSO.

When I am entering paper IOTA logs for Don I go out of my way to ensure 
the electronic log I submit is as far identical to the hand written 
version as possible. If that means a QSO with G3XYZ on 20m has no EU005 
against it while a QSO with him on 40m does, that is how it appears. If 
he has put AS005 for a G QSO I leave the glaring error in. I don't see 
why I should correct mistakes he has made in his log, maybe the 
adjudicators will correct them but it is not my decision.
