Calling all Club Calls entrants............
The Club Calls contest takes place this Saturday (details here:
http://www.rsgbcc.org/hf/rules/2009/rclubcalls.shtml)
In order to automate the adjudication as much as possible, QSO details need
to match in both logs - including the club names. Since many logging
programs cannot cope with more than 25 or so characters, we have devised a
standard list of club names to be used in the logs. The list can be found
here: http://www.rsgbcc.org/hf/clubcalls.xls. It is quite likely that you
will log clubs that do not appear on this list. In these cases, try and
follow the naming convention used for the other clubs.
The abbreviation needs to be used for both your logged club name and that of
the contacted station within each line of the cabrillo.
NOTE!!!..... FULL clubs names are still to be exchanged during the QSO.
Please also note the cabrillo format
(http://www.rsgbcc.org/hf/formats/Clubcall.txt), in particular, the order of
the QSO information and the use of "Member", "Club" or "None" (not "M", "C"
etc). Most of the logging software packages fit this standard in any case.
Logs will not be rejected for failure to comply with these requests but
publication of the results is likely to be delayed.
With your help, we should be able to turn out the results in a timely
fashion (though not quite as quickly as for the CCs or Sprints!).
Thanks in advance
