Ah, I see, thanks for that Steve.  Worse than updating a NATO STANAG.  
And another contribution to the demise of V/UHF activity and contesting, 
for sure.  I've just had the pleasure of reviewing the 166 page Region 1 
VHF Managers Handbook hosted on the VHFCC website 
(www.rsgb.org/vhf/VHF_Handbook_V5_35.pdf) - what a load of pompous 
twaddle, quite unbelievable.  Compare this masterpiece to the equivalent 
HF Handbook 
(http://www.iaru-r1.org/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=173&func=download&id=17&chk=ef76a46d8bf9fb08ee1b92a0516337e0&no_html=1), 
which although running to 154 pages is populated by sensible and 
flexible recommendations rather than shall this and shall that, dating 
back to the dark ages.  We have a real debt of gratitude to Colin PSM 
(editor) for bringing sanity to HF operations.

No apologies and no tin hat (the little VHF gods have used it all up . . .)
