It's certainly worth trying a replacement faceplate for your BT master
socket - these have a built-in ADSL 'splitter' which splits off the
ADSL signal before it gets anywhere near your internal extension
wiring.

To test this before you get the new faceplate - take the cover off
your master socket, you'll find that the faceplate which carries the
extension wiring plugs into a hidden socket inside. Unplug the
faceplate, and plug your ADSL splitter straight into the inner socket.
If you see an improvement, then invest in the replacement faceplate
for a permanent solution which reconnects your extensions.
