Club Calls Contest

Made 80 QSOs as GC3XEJ from my less-than-perfect 160m QTH in South Wales.
The wind caught up one half of my dipole into some trees, which I thought
were far enough away not to cause trouble, but I suspect the insulated wire
meant minimal loss once I had straightened it out (separating the wire form
the branches themselves will have to wait until the weather calms down).
Conditions weren't too bad, with signal strengths creeping up as the contest
progressed. There were some good serial numbers floating around after a
couple of hours.

I'm in agreement with those who ask for a change towards a more abbreviated
club name, among other things. I'll have a word with the powers that be,
who (I think) will be well disposed to some changes, and perhaps a couple of
other tweaks as well. As it stands, my log is in a rather strange text
format, which I'll massage to get to what's needed. Rob, G4LMW,
(adjudicator) hints that the log robot is reasonably tolerant, but getting
closer to Cabrillo acceptability next year would be a good idea.

73,
