Roger,
Thank you for the info, this is very good news indeed because I put in a big effort to achieve this :-) There was a lot of planning, looking at previous results etc... etc... can't give away too much to my success tho but as a taster the rig was a K3 with two RX's.... one in each head phone :-)
OK on SP, glad you enjoyed it and a shame I didn't realise that you were going because I actually had free days from work and was hoping to pick up a 160m certificate for 1st place but more to the point you would have got yourself a personal guide speaking the lingo but there still would have been no excuse to taste the the drinks which were less than soft ;-)

Hello Berni,
The top World QRP 160m entries in
CQWW CW in 2008 were:
1 - E76C 36,000 489Q, 14z,
58c
2 - GW8GT (GW3YDX) 26,520, 421Q, 10z,
50c
3 - G0IDA 17,010, 331Q, 10z, 44c
You get a certificate!
Yes, a marvellous weekend in Poland, thanks.
The SP-DX Club hospitality was totally world-class. I stayed the first night in
Tyniec Abbey near Skawina (Krakow) with a no-speaking breakfast served by monks!
Then a visit to Auschwitz, then drive to Kielce, for two nights. The apparent
lack of a common language with most members was soon overcome by
copious imbibation of non-soft drinks! Sorry you couldn't be
there.
All the best, 73 de Roger/G3SXW.

Thanks Roger for the reply, I heard you were down in SP
for the SPDX results etc... as you know I am Polish and take part in
this contest and have a few 1st places on CW :-) I was going to join you
there but run out of time to get there.
On the subject of CW
CQWW, I'm interested in my 160m effort for 2008, hoping to get 1st in
'G' for 160m QRP last year, a nice touch for the wall!
All
the best,
Berni

Berni,
The results appear in CQ Magazine, only
later on the web. Their's is a commercial concern and they like to
sell magazines! I subscribe, so I have those mags (Aug and Sep), SSB
and CW results. What would you like to know?

Results for 2008
Does anyone know when the results are
supposed to be out for CQWW 2008?
In the results sections
"European Leaders" as an e.g. .....there are the leaders inserted for
2008 so I presume somebody must know something or am I searching in
the wrong place... I am looking at CQWW pages, results and can only
see
2007.
