The RSGB CW Club Sprint takes this evening, Thursday 8th
October, from 2000 - 2130 Local Time (BST) on 80m, 3520-
3570, with a slow-speed CW section from 3550-3570.

There are QRP (10w) and LP (100w) sections. HP is not
permitted.

Rules at www.vhfcc.org/hfcc/rules/2008/rsprint.shtml.

Check the "Example CW QSOs" at
www.rsgbcc.org/hf/information/sprintQSO.shtml
If you use any QSO format other than the ones shown,
you will confuse potential callers and may lose QSOs.

SD V14.29 is free from www.ei5di.com

Select the "RSGB 80m Sprint" template.

Enter Mode as CW, and your Name for the exchange.
Set the band to 80m if you're not using rig control,
with the 80M or B80 commands.

Work everyone. Exchange Serial + Name (no RST).

You may find it easier to log the serial and name
as a single field. For example, SD expands "4FRED"
to "004 FRED" when you press Enter.

Following any QSO where you called CQ or QRZ, you must
QSY at least 2 kHz before calling another station or
calling CQ. SD shows your frequency offset after each
QSO - to let you know how far you still have to QSY.

After the contest, submit your Cabrillo log, from
SDCHECK, to www.rsgbcc.org/cgi-bin/hfenter.pl

As activity is sometimes low in this event, you might
like to experiment with a test file using SD's
"Z RSGB 80m Sprint" template - it's the last entry
shown on the Template pages. This is intended to
illustrate how things might change if repeat QSOs
were permitted with any station after a minimum of
30 minutes - separate countdown clocks are shown for
each station. (You'll need to download the template
file from www.ei5di.com/sd/qrsgbsp3.tpl and place it
in your SD folder)
