[UK-CONTEST] Radials for a 3/8 vertical?

While the top band vertical gurus are on frequency.....

I now have a nice 3m sled kite and would like to try /p on top band (no 160m antenna at qthr). At max permitted height of 60m I could run a 3/8 end fed which is sort of half way between voltage and current nodes. So am I correct in assuming I will get reasonable performance on this band without too much attention to (rf) radials..?
