I think that breeding roses probably has more in common with amateur
radio than CQ-100.
I'm sure that most rose breeders shed a little drop blood in the process
and there probably aren't many real amateurs
who haven't managed to draw blood somewhere along the way even if only
when stripping the outer of a piece of coax
back.
More than once I've just caught myself starting signing off with my
callsign after having left a message on a telephone answering machine
and yes it does make one feel like a pillock. I'm glad to say that I've
never (yet) made the mistake of using my own callsign instead of G-ABCD
or whatever I should be using at the time!
