Now all we need is an alternative phonetic for 2...

You'd be surprised that when using the SCC, the amount of people (non 
British) that mistake G2F for G3F, and the ensuing battle that takes 
place trying to convince then otherwise!

This is a regular problem.... whether it's because a "normal" UK call 
does not have a 2 (except 2x0/2x1 etc) and they automatically assume 
it's a 3 on that basis, I dont know.... but you never hear a 2E0 station 
get called a 3E0.... unless anyone else has heard otherwise?

A command of French, German, Spanish & Italian "number twos" is useful, 
but it certainly doesnt help the old QSO rate when in contest when you 
have to go through that rigmarole!
