It seems to me that if things (rules) don't change
occasionally, the contest is unlikely to get
better.

I agree with Nigel G3TXF that non-island stations
with their non-stop CQs are hard to tolerate.

Here's what I would do :-)   Leave the scoring for
island stations at it is - 15 points for QSOs with
other islands and 3 points for QSOs with non-islands.

Instead, change the non-island to non-island QSO
points to 1 instead of 3.  That way, QSOs with
islands would be worth 15 times as many points -
instead of 5 times, as at present.  That would be
a powerful incentive to stop calling CQ and work
more islands!

Easy?
