[UK-CONTEST] EU HF Championship - GM4AFF

Thought I would do this contest as the final curtain call before the shack
gets demolished and the new one gets built. Haven't done it before. Spent
many hours last week trying to find the fault with my 160m dipole (how
difficult can it be? I hear you say), thinking it was fixed, only to find a
10:1 SWR at 2230 on the night. I bet it would work tonight if I could try
it. It's the balun I think. Anyway, that meant I was really destroying my
amp as I tried to work as many mults as I could on 160m before the contest
ended, with massive reflected power. SO2R was of little advantage in this
contest due to the limit of 10 band changes per hour. It's a run event
really, so great fun for 12 hours, lots to work, fast runs, and even 10m
opened for me. The spread of licences years is strange; there are so few
licencees from recent years who do contests!

Incidentally, anyone who wants to remove 599 from a high speed (non-sprint)
contest QSO doesn't understand how a run runs.
