Here's the distribution from my EUHF log (CW only).

Seems like the majority of CW contesters have been licensed 25 yrs +

1944~49        0.5%
1950~54        1.8%
1955~59        3.8%
1960~64        5.6%
1965~69        10.3%
1970~74        12.1%
1975~79        16.4%
1980~84        18.5%
1985~89        8.7%
1990~94        6.9%
1995~99        9.5%
2000~04        1.3%
2005~09        3.1%
2010~14        1.0%
