[UK-CONTEST] BERU 2011

Hi folks..

Just a short note to say I'm planning to activate the BVIs  (VP2V) in 
next year's Commonwealth Contest (BERU). I've just confirmed/booked the 
accommodation near Trellis Bay, Beef Island. Having a son working out 
there has been a great help!

My next step is to very shortly apply for the licence. Looking at what 
others have done in the past it looks like being VP2V/G3PHO, a bit of a 
mouthful (or fistful on CW!) but we'll manage :-)

It will be a low power, lightweight affair (Restricted Section: 100W to 
wire antennas).

Would appreciate any useful info from people who have done this before.
This will be, at the ripe old age of 73, my first effort at a contest 
expedition outside of UK.
