Indeed. I am not sure that mixed CW/SSB contests are a good idea on top 
band, and I see that the rules have effectively made only 30kHz, 1810-
1840, available for CW. With european SSB activity tending to cluster 
just above 1840 and in many countries them not having the higher part 
of the band, coupled with the UK power limit of 32W above 1850, I 
imagine there will be a lot of friction between the CW and SSB ops.

I don't bother with this contest nowadays, as with a choice between a 
30 ft vertical or a 65 ft longwire, and a QRP operator, top band for 
inter-G is a waste of time. It will be interesting to see how much 
support for the SSB part there is, and it is a shame to make this 
change to what is in effect already a quite well supported event.
