[UK-CONTEST] Mobile Towers (no contest content)

Following on from my previous posting on this subject apparently it's
still ongoing as the amateur concerned has undertaken some work to 
extend his driveway so that the trailer can be towed off of the premises 
making it truly 'mobile'. It seems that the local council
haven't taken kindly to the attempt to get round the rules are now out 
to 'get him' and wanted the trailer and antennas to be destroyed, I 
doubt that they have the powers to do this but watch this space.

Interestingly another amateur in the same village as the above
went through the process in the recommended manner, getting the
neighbours on side, talking to the planners first and got permission
for a tower, however there's no guarantee that this would work in every 
case.
Looking on the bright side I now know of three planning applications
for masts in various parts of the UK which have been approved recently.
Taking advice from the RSGB in the first place might be a good idea.

Finally a word of warning....some years ago a friend in Essex had 
complaints from a neighbour about the shadow cast by his 2m beam & I 
believe that(she!)put a brick through his window to underline the point!
