[UK-CONTEST] SWL Contest For 80m CC SSB?

After last nights efforts I think it would be easier becoming an SWL again!
Got into the shack at 2100 after Scouts expecting to hear wall to wall contest stationsm.  Nothing, except the usual S9+ central heating/TV noise!
It took me 30 minutes to work the loudest four stations but could not raise the other six I could just hear.
There were several loud German stations working S+P and I attempted to call CQ in the direction they were tuning but that failed as well!
I would be interested to hear if the first hour was much better or if it was all tough going.
Will be back for the full 90 minutes of RTTY/PSK next Thursday.
