Hi Guys,

Sorry for the "noise" on the reflector, but I have a work based problem
with an old "English Electric" 415v, 100hp Motor That is fairly urgent!

I know there are some old hands at electrical stuff that frequent here,
and seeing as EE ceased to exist in 1968, info is very hard to come by!

Normally, it would be pensioned off, and a new unit installed.... but
it's not that simple! A fair amount of demolition would be needed (it
would appear that it's brick house & associated pipework were installed
AFTER the motor & pump was put in place!.

The info I need relates to replacing the NDE bearing..... we just cannot
seem to get the endplate off, and I'm wondering about hidden circlips etc.

I do this kind of thing day in, day out.... but this is the oldest motor
in the factory, and I have the pressure on to get it running, as it's
currently the standby unit and the bearings need changing on the newer
duty unit, so this one has to be up and running before they fail totally!

Any advice, off list would be appreciated!
