Seems to me that contesters in general are a conservative bunch that like to hide away in our own little comfort zone. The drop in numbers when the CC events morph into the Sprints is spectacular and largely spoils the fun. Some dislike the QSYing, but I've even heard some complain of the discomfort of not sending (and hearing) the 599 in the exchange.
I assumed Gs were particularly bad but I've just looked at my Eusprint cw log from April and out of 120 contacts there were 64 unique calls, and of those 7 were Gs (of which GW were the majority..!). That compares to DJ, EA and F =4 each, I=5 and UA=10. Pretty tidy I'd say for us Gs....
Why not combine the CC events with the Sprints to give a final end of year club total which includes both?
