Chris, I agree. The RSGB is very lucky to have a contest slot in October and
we should not give it up. I quite like the 21/28MHz event as it is but doing
some re-engineering to make it of greater interest to both UK and non-UK
stations may not go amiss. As I mentioned at the forum I think 20m could be
added to the formula during the 5-6 years in each cycle when 10m is U/S.

Anyhow the CC has agreed to extend it's life as is so we must make sure that
it gets due publicity.

I apologise for any perceived insult to you personally, which was not my 
intention at all. My first sentences were intended to point out that the 
HFCC may not have listened to what the Horwood House forum contesters seemed

to request - namely an extension of the life of the 21/28 contest beyond 
just one more year.

As I said before, we need to 'talk up' UK contests instead of trying to get 
rid of them - early October is prime HF time and the UK could easily run a 
contest then which would attract worldwide participation.
