[UK-CONTEST] 70MHz Noise level

Tony,

I do wonder whether the cities are really much noisier than semi-rural
locations today, at least all of the services are underground unlike
here where there are o/h phone lines, 11kV lines on wooden poles not far
away, 500kV grid lines a mile or so away, electric fences in nearby
fields ticking away. and all manner of noises from local houses. Where
can I find a desert island!
I vaguely remember seeing the results of an airborne survey years ago
which measured RF noise levels across the UK,
it would be interesting to see these results which must be tucked away
on a dusty shelf in a university (Cranfield?) somewhere.
What would be even more interesting would be to see the results of a
similar airborne RF survey today.
