Quite right Andrew, yes we have heard all this before.

Why is it not possible to have a bit of give and take here?

Let the SSB guys have their fun on the band just as the CW folk did at the
end of January.

How many weekends a year do people operate outside the band plan?  5? 7? 9?
And more importantly, why?

I would suggest its because their is much activity which in turn means a
popular event is taking place; this is good for contesting which I thought
this reflector was all about!

Perhaps all this talk about SSB on 1.815 should be confined to a new
Bandplan Reflector ):
