All,
Thanks again for your help on this, I've still got the problem and have
had to bring the heavies in (my son) and we are now 95% convinced that
its my Modem software (early Netgear DG834G) that's at fault as we can
actually get the modem to lock its own clock to an internet time server
but can't get it to allow access through for the NTP server to my PC.
I'll send an update when I've got it fixed.
