As opposed to contesting which is known (at least by the RSGB)
known as 'Sport Radio'. I can't think of any other 'sport' where
there aren't judges, stewards, scrutineers, referees etc. who ensure
(as far as possible) the the rules of the particular sport are being 
adhered to.
Except in NFD where there is the possibility of a site inspection & 
otherwise the cross checking of submitted logs everything else in 
contests is taken on trust. I for one am not convinced that there might 
be some people who run a little more than legal power, after all someone 
must be buying these big amplifiers that are advertised & reviewed in 
Radcom.  To anyone who says that these big amps are being under run or 
used to make up for big feeder losses I say 'you cannot be serious!
